Just to post an update: The noise was indeed the pump, was mistaking it for the radiator itself. Tried some various troubleshooting and realized it only occurred at very low rpm as my pump was set to silent mode. Bumped up the speeds and now it's quiet. Thanks for taking a look.

The W_PUMP header is the same as the cpu fan header 1amp - 12w. You can let the kelvin cooler connected to the W_PUMP it says it draws 0.27 amps. Check that IS the tightest point (bounce up and down a bit, maybe the R is different), and assuming it is, the belt should flex only slightly as you push up on the middle of it. The correct number is something like 6mm for 10lb of pressure, but search for it yourself. NOT MUCH basically.

DarkKnight369. So I have been noticing the past few days that when I first start driving in the morning I get this metal grinding/vibration sound. Its very minor and hard to hear. It could almost be one of the exhaust heat shield rattling or vibrating off of something, but it seems to only coincide with my initial first few blocks of driving.

This type of a noise is usually produced by a faulty power steering pump or transmission. Mostly, it could be like a noise on the transmission itself. It would be nice if you flush the transmission. Sounds like it must be slow in the shop ..lol lets not forgot new brakes tires etc hehe.

BSPT 1 1/2" threads have 11 threads per inch and the angle between the flanks is 55 degrees. You can't tell the difference by lookin. You need a left/right nipple so one side of your threads is a right hand thread. If they are clean you should be able to thread an 1 1/2" NPT nipple in a couple of turns by hand.

The grinding sound/vibration did not happen again until last week. I was in 4 wheel drive (4H) traveling very slow and easy, about 7-8 MPH, on the sand at Pismo Beach. Get some vinyl hose to slip onto the threads the other end to a paint pail, and get to a new clean graduated 1gallon paint pail. Have a helper, so they can start and turn off the car.. It should take 30 to 45 seconds to empty-out the "two" (two quarts or two liters - we are not building Satellites here). If it does it faster, that is okay.

That fluid should be smelly, but otherwise not too dark/black or full of metal flakes. Sometimes people get those to drains and fluids confused. If that happened though - it sounds like it's too late. try to determine while idling if the noise you hear is left-right-front-rear.

Or, you can try manipulating the wheel to get a softer grinding effect. Be sure to use a sharp diamond tool to dress the wheel. Turn the diamond 1/4 turn every fifth dressing. Put the screw back in and tighten it. Then continue filling until coolant comes out of the radiator. Reinstall radiator cap. Continue filling until the system's full. Start engine, let it burp a couple bubbles out-which should subside within a minute at the very most. Turn engine off let it cool and refill until full.

The grinding noise started up w/in 1 min of the lift issue. The lift was picking up a 6' finish mower, and would make a severe whining-type noise and respond only after about 2-3 seconds after moving the lever.
